Welcome to the heart of Oregon wine country

The heart creates the pulse, the beat, and once you’ve entered the valley you begin to feel it.

Of Oregon's 400-plus wineries, 290 are here in the valley. Of its 16 American Viticultural Areas or AVAs, six are here in the valley, while no other region can claim more than two.

Our wineries are spread across the countryside. They are also clustered in the towns, particularly McMinnville, Carlton, Dundee and Newberg. This is wine country! This is pinot noir country!

Pinot noir has become synonymous with the Yamhill Valley. It’s grown elsewhere in Oregon, but nowhere does it thrive as it does here. Yet the valley remains surprisingly unassuming. Come to experience our world-class wineries and gourmet restaurants. Or, simply enjoy our slower pace.
